The City of Angels experienced citywide festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Fans across the globe joined local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Crowds
Local events included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show countless of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
