The Gruesome Animated Film Ending That Stays With Fans

Out of all the adult-oriented animated films I’ve ever viewed, nothing has stuck with me as much as the terror-laced ending of a graphically gory as well as deeply subversive 2022 movie The Unicorn Wars.

Back in the year 2015, the Spanish writer-director crafted a dark, bleak and frequently brutal universe with some tiny , desolate glimmers of optimism.

Although The Unicorn Wars appears as it originated from a desire to push animation further, the director explained that it was actually an attempt to convey a widespread, cross-cultural message about “the common origin of each battle.”

This theme is conveyed through a group of brightly hued teddy bears , clearly inspired by a well-known line of cuddly figures.

Being raised in a community focused on aggression and the military-industrial complex, many of these animals are fixated on slaughtering the mythical beasts, thanks to a religious scripture that claims the bears they were once kings of the forest, before the horned beings forced them out.

Some did not entirely accepted the propaganda, , choose to experiment with drugs or fornicate in the forest.

In contrast to their friendly equivalents, these vivid animals have visible genitals , clear libidos.

For a certain notably brutal, pessimistic creature, Bluey, the battle against unicorns turns into a road to control — and specifically to dominance above his more tender, kinder brother the bear Tubby.

This bear is a bully and an obvious psychopath , and as fear takes over his group and takes his fellow soldiers individually, he grabs more and more power on his own behalf, via progressively violent, damaging approaches.

Meanwhile, the unicorns are enduring their own nightmare, through a growing, deadly beast in their habitat.

“In the early stages, it seems like a lighthearted film,” the filmmaker commented. “However it becomes a more intense and melancholic film. And in the finale, it transforms into a scary feature.”

The Unicorn Wars begins feeling a bit like among the whimsical features from a renowned filmmaker, that uncover a naughty glee in allowing animated figures curse, engage in violence, or have intimate relations.

Then it turns into more akin to a bleaker movie from that creator, with increasingly explicit brutality , a palpable link to the real suffering of battle.

Ultimately, it’s a complete theatrical horror bloodbath.

The horror which makes the film an ideal spooky-season viewing begins well before than indicated.

Unicorn Wars is suited for the hardcore lovers of violence, for lovers of graphic films who desire to watch a film they have not viewed until now, and can endure a plot which delivers absolutely no punches.

View it with the lights off free from interruptions, and that ending will burrow under your skin and stay with you.
