The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Performer for Bentham in One Piece Season 3

Baroque Works is poised to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.

The platform declared recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Bon Clay. The role possesses the power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a interpretation of that character reinterpreted as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and cartoon version.

The new cast member is joined by multiple recently announced actors set to bring the organization to reality, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of the fictional land.

Though Bon Clay is a important part of the organization, the persona won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece show is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
